We took our pumpkins to get pumpkins.

We were in Overland Park, Kansas for soccer (again)
and visited one of our favorite places during some down time.
The Deanna Rose Farmstead and Pumpkin Hollow!

It was a little chilly, but a great day overall.
Maeryn was rockin' the sunglasses and loving life!
Me and my Sassy Pants taking a break to enjoy a swing.
What's a trip to the farm without a pony ride?
I wouldn't know...
The animals were out, and some were VERY vocal.
This goose would not leave us alone,
I guess he was mad because we wouldn't give him any feed.
... sorry pal, not today.
The baby goats were quiet though, and very cute!
I think this was Maeryn's favorite part of the day:
STINKY PIG BUTTS!
The Bald Eagle was very cool too.
We stopped to play some too.
There is a really cute little courtyard that the kids had so much fun playing in.

Then we took the horse drawn hayride over to the pumpkin hollow.

Had to take a picture of this sign for Nana.  :-)
Maeryn LOVED the slide in pumpkin hollow...

(johnny wasn't so sure)
The "hollow" had all your typical P.Patch activities...
Corn maze, candy corn bowling, pumpkin hoops,
giant tubs of corn to play in, tractor pulled barrel train, etc...
It was fantastic fall fun!

And finally, it was pumpkin picking time.
This guy was more interested in the mulch, so despite my efforts,
he never did give me a good smile.
These kiddos are such troopers through all of their parents crazy soccer schedules,
so it's extra special when we are able to slow down for a minute have some fun together!
