The Highlight of Maeryn's week... My Gym!

Seriously, Maeryn talks about Gymnastics ALL the time...
(except it sounds more like "jinacstix" when she says it).
She absolutely loves it,
and I can't say enough great things about the teachers at My Gym.

This is Ms. Lisa getting ready to show the girls how to do a back walk-over.
 Maer did awesome!

Here's a video of it too.

3 weeks ago she wouldn't even touch the rings...
 Now she's a monkey!
This week's main attraction: The Pod Racer!
(notice the star wars music in the background)
Puppet Time.  :-)
We heart My Gym!!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

We stayed very busy over the long Thanksgiving weekend.
Maeryn helped Kevin and I get the house all decorated for Christmas...

This is the first time we have done Christmas lights as a family...
Last year we moved in to the house in mid-December so we never got around to
putting lights up.  It was definitely a team-effort.

I forgot to take a picture of the house once it got dark out,
it's no comparison to the Griswold Family, but I think it looks pretty good!
I'll have to post a picture of the finished product later...

Next came the TREE!
After taking a break for princess puzzles, of course...

 Ta-Da... Meyer Chritsmas Tree 2011!
 And lastly, Gingerbread House time!

What a great weekend!

Turkey Day 2011

A few years ago Kevin and I started a tradition of rotating our holidays between Phoenix and St. Louis so that we could be with each of our families for at least one holiday every year.
This year we did Thanksgiving in St. Louis and will head to Arizona for Christmas.

Here are some pictures from our mid-west Turkey Day with the Meyers.

PawPaw Mike and Uncle Bob, doing what they do best!
 Saying our prayers...
(yes, I prayed too, but couldn't resist taking this pic!)
 Cheers!
Notice the big girl cup.  :-)
That's a new development... thanks to pre-school!
 Mmmmmm!
After dinner, Grandma had a special gift for Maeryn and her Second Cousin Emma.
They were baby dolls, a brunette for Emma and a blondie for Maer-bear!
Maeryn's dolly, "Baby Bella" has not left her side since last Thursday.
 Great-Grandma counting Maer's piggies.
Family pic just before the annual "Rob Your Neighbor" show-down!
This year's big loser: PawPaw! :-(

Big Girl Room (Pictures!)

I finally got around to taking some pictures of Maeryn's new room!
We are just missing a few final touches... need some curtains
and a ceiling fan and then it will be complete.
Much to Kevin's dismay, it's a super-girly, flowery, pinkalicious, princess room!

The paint-job was a major task, but I LOVE the way it turned out, so it was completely worth it...
I just hope Maeryn realizes she is stuck with these colors for a LONG time!

Here it is...

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Thanksgiving Eve with the Neighbors

Last night was our first ever Progressive Dinner Party with our awesome neighbors...
We started the evening at our house with appetizers and italian margaritas,
next we went to the Evans' and had some yummy baked ziti, salad and bread,
the last stop was the Kretzler house for italian desserts and coffee.
We hope to do this again soon with a few more families next time,
The food was great and it was so much fun travelling around to eachother's houses!

Addison, Olivia and Maeryn playing great together!
 Cute Girls!
19 month old Olivia, playing in 1 month old Clarke's pumpkin seat.
The kid table at the Evans', enjoying their 2nd course of the night!

Have I mentioned we LOVE our neighbors?
Next big event... cookie party with Santa!
Stay tuned for updates...

Tuesday night fun!

I told you Maeryn would be ok at pre-school...
Check out her awesome pilgrim hat and HUGE smile!
This is just a fun video of Maer being silly diving off the couch through Kevin's leg,
then going into a series of forward rolls... love this girl!

Priceless video of Maeryn dancing with her daddy!

She's got the moves like Jagger!

Just a random video of Maeryn showing off her awesome dancing moves!
My goodness, we are in trouble in a few years...

Walking in Memphis.

Maeryn has become a pro at travelling with her crazy parents and our soccer teams...
Last weekend we were in Memphis with my Portugal girls and as you can tell,
Maer-bear fits right in with these 14/15 YEAR OLDS... lord help us!

I am so very grateful that the families on my teams take such good care of Maeryn
while I am coaching.  She has several sibling buddies on the sidelines and all of the moms and dads keep a close eye on her so that I don't have to worry and can concentrate on the team...
Here she is with one of the brothers playing with her farm animal puzzle.
BTW - Maeryn must think farm animals are common pets because
she thinks she's getting a horse and a goat for christmas!
No idea how we're getting out of that one... she told me she's asking santa for them.

After the finals, Maeryn sat with the girls as they received their medals.

She got one too!

Thank goodness Maeryn is ok with these trips, I just love coaching these girls!

...and they like Maer-bear too!

The LONG drive home...
