Easter Dinner - Our first party at the new house.

This year was the Meyer Juniors turn to host Easter dinner.
Everyone had a great time and the food was really good!

Maeryn and Emma exchanging Easter baskets.

 An indoor Easter Egg hunt!

Maeryn had so much fun playing with her second cousin Emma.
In fact, this morning (3 days later) out of nowhere,
she said to Kevin and I, "I miss Emma"... So cute!

We heart Uncle Mal!

FRIDAY
Unfortunately the weather during Mal's stay was not very desirable,
forcing us to have to think of some fun indoor activties to do while
he was in town.  Friday afternoon we all went to see the movie Hop,
and then went over to the Gleasons to hang out and have dinner.

Mary and Mal made an awesome dinner!

...but due to the impending storm we had to eat in the basement,
(notice Brian watching the storm on the TV screen in the background).

Shortly after dinner we headed to the back of the basement for shelter,
while a destructive tornado did some major damage to the area not
far from Mary and Brian's house!
Lucky for us, dessert just happened to be in the fridge right there in
the very same room - we had everything we needed!

SATURDAY
More rainy weather on Saturday, so we went to Chuck E. Cheese!

 Time to decorate the eggs!

SUNDAY
Easter morning.
The Easter bunny left some surprises right outside Maeryn's
bedroom door... WAHOOO!

She was so excited to wear her easter dress and shoes,
she went right over to the mirror after we got her dressed
to see how pretty she looked.  Look at the smile!
After mass, back at the Gleason's house for brunch.

Thank you for coming to visit Mal, we miss you already!

Pops' STL visit

We had a great time in early April when Pops (Meghan's Dad)
came to visit us.  Maeryn was just a little shy at first - Pops' flight
landed late on Friday evening so she had just woken up
on Saturday morning when she discovered he was there.
...Within minutes they were best buds!

Pops brough Maeryn a story book with his voice recorded
reading all of the nursery rhymes to her.  She loves it!

We had lunch lunch with Aunts Brigid and Mary,
Uncle Brian, Cousin Meghan and "Dude".

 Counting change with Aunt Brig.
 Watching Tangled with Pops.
What a face!
 Weeeeeeee!

Thanks for coming to visit Pops, we loved having you!

Sorry for the delay!

I know it has been a few weeks since my last post
and I have heard some complaints about it.
Although I have been a LITTLE busy,
there is no excuse for not keeping up with my blog!
Hopefully this smorgasbord from the last few weeks
(yes it is spelled correctly, I looked it up),
will make up for my blogging tardiness...

Kevin and Maeryn changing baby's diaper...
Hanging on the front porch with baby, enjoying some sunshine!
Quiet time on the couch with blankie and a book.
Mommy's birthday dinner at Red Lobster.
We ended up having to take our dinner home with us because
Maeryn got sick at the table just before the food came out! :-(
 This was funny...
Maeryn was playing in the hallway at my school during the varsity soccer
team's practice (we were indoors because of rain).  The girls had gone on a run
around the building to get warmed up and when they came back
around the corner they must have suprised her, because she squeeled
and took off running ahead of the pack.  I grabbed my phone as soon as I could
to get the pic... the look on her face was priceless!
Soccer road trip to Rockford, IL.
Best investement I have made in a long time was this portable
DVD player for the car.  Maeryn watched "Tangled" three times
on the trip (among a few of her other favorites).
She was happy as can be with her milk, Rapunzel doll and the movie!
 Doing her chores... ;-)
She really does love to help around the house!
