Team Drew

July 15th - Home Town Date Epsiode
We filmed the home town date in Phoenix way back in April and have been
anxiously waiting for it to air on TV ever since!

Obviously this whole experience has been extremely exciting and fun.
Watching OUR Drew on TV every week, was just surreal.
We all knew there was an outside chance that if he made it far enough
we all might end up in the spotlight too... Well that happened.
And tonight was the night that the rest of world would meet the Kenney Family Circus!

What better way to celebrate our big night than rock to it in some Team Drew uniforms!

Yep, they come in baby sizes too!
Gleason Girls
Nice Kev...
Our cousin John with his IDOL. ;-)
These poor boys could not escape the Maer-Terror
I can't look at this and not smile.
What were they talking about?!
The old man's still got it!

More stories from his adventure...
TEAM DREW STL
(a very very small portion of the nation-wide team!)
Congratulations Drew, we couldn't be prouder of you!

Will you accept this rose?

So the real reason we were in Chicago was for a soccer tournament.
(we just threw in a little mini-vacation in between games!)

Naturally my girls, who are Juniors in high school, have been watching the bachelorette
and are absolutely CRAAAZY about Drew...
When I told them he would be coming on this trip with us, they went NUTS.
...one of them actually started crying.  No joke.

Soooo, of course we had to play in to this and give the girls a little treat after one of the games.
Drew gave each of the girls a rose, and a braggin' rights photo opp.
They were giddy!
Look at Maddy in the middle of the front row... pretty much sums it up!
We had a few extra roses so several of the younger sisters lined up for their chance to meet Drew too.  AND the moms requested their own group photo!  HAHAHA!!
It was so much fun and we were quite the spectacle in the middle of the soccer park.
Thanks for playing along Drew, the girls will never forget that day!

Chi Town Road Trip

The morning after the DMB concert, we packed up the car and headed East to Chicago!
This was Drew's first time there and it's one of our favorite places
so we were all really excited to go,
plus these two are pros at road tripping, so win-win!

Love and marriage, love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage...
We saw the famous fountain on our way in to the city, all that was missing was the Bundys.
So much to see in this city, it really is one of the most beautiful places in America.
Soldier Field, home of Da Bears!
To your right, Lake Michigan and hundreds of sail boats off of Navy Pier.
To your left, sky rise buildings... so cool!
Lunch before the Cards/Cubs game at Wrigley.
Cubbie the Bear
(we think this might have been a knock-off mascot out in the street, but Maeryn didn't care!)

Johnny Mac's first big league game!

apparently the game itself wasn't all that exciting...
Such a great park.  Such an awesome day.

After the game was had some famous Chicago style pizza from Gino's!
Sooooo good.
Day 2 in Chicago we decided to go to the Shedd Aquarium.

Some of the highlights were the Baluga Whales!
and Dolphins!

Probably the coolest thing I've ever seen in an aquarium, was the saw-tooth shark!
It was really hard to get a good picture because the room was so dark,
so this was the best I could do... doesn't really do it justice.
This thing was amazing.
A few final pictures of this awesome city.
