Maeryn riding her Trike and Boo at the Zoo

Maeryn is finally big enough to ride her trike and is just figuring out how to work it...
She has never really been very comfortable on things that move (swings, bikes, etc.),
so hopefully that will change soon!

We took Maeryn to Boo at the Zoo last Friday night.
The Zoo has lots of special events going on for Halloween and kids are invited
to come dressed in their costumes and enjoy the festivities.
Maeryn LOVES being Minnie Mouse this year...
and I'm a little biased but she is just TOO CUTE in her costume!

There were story tellers throughout the zoo, these ones told a story
about a groundhog that had Maeryn captivated
(I think the bag of kettle corn she had may have helped too).

And of course we had to ride the carousel!
It was so fun to see all the kiddos dressed up in their costumes,
there were lots of princesses and superheroes (spiderman, supergirl, captain america),
but our favorite costume was a little girl dressed as a watermelon!!

Pumpkin Patch 2011

Last Sunday we went to Rombach Farms & Pumpkin Patch
with our Neighbors Jason, Aubrey and Piper.
It was a beautiful fall day and there was a lot of really fun stuff for kids to do,
and TONS of pumpkins to choose from...
Here is Maeryn with Jason and Piper riding the school bus!
Maeryn got to spend a little time at the playground.

And she rode her first pony!
This was probably her favorite thing, she has been talking about it ever since.

The we went for a "train ride" in these plastic, painted tubs pulled by a four-wheeler.
This was not the most comfortable ride I've ever been on and I'm pretty sure
they were not made for a 32 year old woman and her two year old daughter to fit in...
I was certain that at any point in time the tubs were going to break apart
and the driver (who did not once turn back to check on us) was just going to
leave us out in the middle of the pumpkin fields!
But... we survived, so it's all good.
Maeryn tried to pick up every pumpkin we liked.
Kevin helped her with this one.
Maer-Bear and Piper in the patch!

Not sure who's genius idea this was...
All in all it was a great day,
we will definitely go back to Rombach's again next year!

Jim's 21st B-Day

We had dinner at Trailhead Brewing Company for Uncle Jim's 21st Birthday.
Love this pic of Maeryn and Kevin!
 Jim's "first" beer ever.
We had to ask the server to card him, couldn't let him get away with
not showing that thing off for the first time!

My Gym

A few weeks ago we signed Maeryn up for classes at My Gym.
She is in a parent-participation class with 2 & 1/2 to 3 & 1/2 year olds,
where they sing, dance, swing, play games, play with puppets,
and do introductory gymnastics skills.

The class is awesome and the teachers are FANTASTIC.

We already can't wait for next weeks class!

Kickaroos!

Making Mom and Dad proud, Maeryn is doing great at Kickaroos!
The group she is in is all 2-3 year olds with their moms or dads, she loves it.

 Nice technique Maer!
 Working on her moves...
(really wish I had a better camera... hint, hint!)

Bad Hair Day.

Just found this picture in my phone and had to post it.
...looks more like a mugshot!

Purina Farms

Last weekend we went to Purina Farms.
We spent some time playing with the toy tractors,
Climbing the rope,
exploring the many connected tunnels,

And visiting the awesome farm animals!
Some of our favorites were the cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, bunnys and horses.

Maeryn LOVED seeing the many dogs at the farm!
The best part was sitting in the grass, listening to music and
watching the amazingly talented dogs competing
in the National Championship Dog Competitions!
Maeryn also hammed it up for the camera man!

Go CARDS!

We went to one of the last regular season Cardinals games this year
for PawPaw's 60th birthday.  It was right in the thick of their hunt for the playoffs...
They won this game which moved them to only being 1&1/2 games
back from the Braves, who they later knocked out completely
and took over their wild card spot!
We Heart the Redbirds!

Taking a break from watching the game to play in the kids zone.
 Maeryn's first time using binoculars...
I think she was looking through them backwards
and upside down most of the time.
