8 months gone in a flash!

Big boy Johnny Mac sits up shopping carts now!

No more lugging the huge heavy car seat around in every store - woohoo!!!

We especially love the double-seater carts at Sam's Club. :-)

He got his first experience in a bounce house this week at Olivia and Owen's party.

Yes, he was this happy the whole time!!! 

Even when the girls were tackling him, he couldn't get enough.

Later that day, showing off his new skills.

Don't think he'll be crawling for very long,

homeboy wants to pull up on everything ALREADY!

More giggles and smiles at the dinner table.

I just want to freeze time for a little bit longer, I know I will miss these days sometime soon.

He is such a happy baby, I just want to smooch that face all day long!!! 

(and yes, those are teeth down on the bottom, two of them already!)

Yesterday, enjoying the nice weather, swinging at the park.

And then car races in our cul de sac!

And after tubbies last night...

It is a daily battle.

Diaper change time. 

Gotta have the quickest hands this side of the mississippi to get a diaper

on this kid before he rolls over and gets away! 

I usually fail miserably, and one of us ends up getting pissed.

8 months gone in a flash, can't wait to see what month 9 will bring!

My little family blog has hit the big time overnight...

who recently discovered this page and posted links (and pictures) online for millions to see.

 As fun as it would be to see how popular we might all become,

I've decided to close it to the public.

We'll see what happens in the next few days and weeks.

This is all very new and strange!

Happy Birthday Uncle Drew!

Yesterday was Drew's 28th birthday and for the first time ever

none of us were able to wish him a happy day.... :-(

 

We are pulling for you buddy, hope you had a GREAT birthday.

People tell me all the time to cherish these days because they will go by soooo fast

and before I know it my babies will be in college...

Well, I sure am trying!

 

Easter 2013

Even though the weather has been so yucky so far this "Spring",

we had a wonderful Easter filled with all of our favorite traditions.

The Saturday before Easter was the Countryshire Subdivision Egg Hunt.

Here's Maeryn with her bestie and our next door neighbor, Olivia.

She was ready for the action!

The egg hunt was divided in to three age groups the youngest being ages 3 and under.

I'm afraid we probably should have put Maer in to the next age group up...

She pretty much DOMINATED the little ones - poor kids didn't have a chance.

So proud of her loot.

Maeryn was also really excited to dye eggs this year,

and was VERY particular about the whole process!

I think we have an "artsy" girl on our hands... 

It was a lot of fun to see her get so in to a project like this,

we will definitely have to find more things to create in the future! 

Later that night when I was turning some of the hard boiled eggs in to devilled eggs,

we discovered one of them had a twin!  An egg with TWO yolks, pretty cool.  :-)

Cousin egg hunt time...

Aaaannnndddd, GO! 

The babies just got to watch the big girls do the hunt this time,

but next year Adi and Johnny will give Maeryn and Emma a run for it, I'm sure! 

It was a great day and we are very thankful for our many blessings! 

 

What are you doing?! ...NOTHING!

Any given day I will set Johnny down in the family room with

an assortment of toys to play with and Maeryn will be busy playing with her own toys

while I attempt to clean up the kitchen or make dinner or do some other motherly task...

Within minutes I usually hear some kind of commotion coming from the other room

following by a very loud squealing, or giggling or often times screaming!

My immediate reaction... "Maeryn!!!  What are you doing?!?!"

and of course, her response is always: NOTHING!

Sometimes she tells the truth, usually she has tackled Johnny in some way

or is attempting to roll around on the floor and wrestle with him.

He plays along at first, but eventually, he gets PISSED!

She is a sneaky little thing, but she sure does love her brother.  :-)
