Florida Night Life (when you have two small kids...)

We only ventured out after dark a few times while we were in Florida,
as you can imagine, it can be quite a task with our two little bundles of joy!

We decided to hit up the Downtown Disney area after one of the soccer games...
At night.
During the busiest time of the year.
With an enormous double stroller.
Sure, that sounds like a greeeaaat idea.
We still had fun, but it was a little nuts trying to get through the crowd with our monster stroller.

There is such a cool atmosphere in Downtown Disney.
Lots of shopping, dining and live music around every corner.
This awesome tree and little concert spot was in the middle of one of the shopping areas.
One of the many great places to eat.
Shops & Crowds - we saw a lot of that!
Quick visit with our friends from Pooh Corner. :-)
Dinosaur Museum/Play Spot
Vinylmation is the new "thing" down there apparently...
They are little molded collectable mickey mouse statues in all different themes.
We got a soccer ball themed one for free when we ordered our
Disney park tickets through the tournament - score!
Hot air balloon rides over Downtown...
The kids loved this!
Haha, just kidding.  ;-)
More Vinylmation.
The one place I would have really liked to stop and hang out (had we been kid-less)...
An Irish Pub - Raglan Road
With live Irish musicians - who were sooo good!
Oh to just sit and relax and drink a beer on the patio...
We quickly snapped out of that fantasy and moved on to bigger more important tasks.
Checking out the largest Disney Store in the WORLD - oh yea, be jealous people!
Inside one of the MANY rooms in the store...
the place was HUGE, and we probably could have spent hours in there
(and a LOT of money),
but we stayed focused and got exactly what we went in to get!
Maeryn got a Jessie doll, Johnny got a Mickey shirt and some squeeky toys,
they both got placemats and we made it out of there spending less than
the $100 in gift cards that we went in with - woohoo!!!
On the way out of downtown we stopped to admire the amazing Lego structures!
Buzz Lightyear and Woody
and the Dragon in the water.

Our next evening venture out was to the Disney Winterland Mini-Golf Course.
It was a little bit rainy but it was a great time
and for Maeryn's first time playing put-put, she loved it!

We will definitely go back to that place,
the other side has a Summerland course that was all beachy-themed - super cute!

New Year's Eve
We hit up Daytona Beach with the soccer team for a little break from the Orlando chaos.
The team reserved a room at Crabby Joe's right on the water in Daytona.
It was perfect!

My Girls.  :-)
