Not quite as early of a traveler as his big sis (who's first trip to AZ was at 6 weeks),
but Johnny-Mac was clearly stoked about flying down to see the AZ family for Thanksgiving!
(no, the airline did not charge us extra for his carry-on cheeks!)
Maeryn just couldn't understand why we never went in the pool on this trip...
If someone would have been willing to go in with her
she definitely would have swam the whole time!
At the annual turkey-bowl game, Maeryn made a new friend.
...at least she thought so... Wilson wasn't so sure.
It was a beautiful day to get out and play,
and the boys clearly enjoyed living out their glory days once again.
Maer with two of her favorite guys!
The definition of a bad hair day.
Must have been a rough nap that afternoon.
Everyone enjoyed some time to just relax
and take in the fantastic smells coming from Nana's kitchen.
Kevin and John chillin' out, watching some football before the feast.
Mal & Angela enjoying some down time. :-)
Sleepy sleeperson.
Lissy patiently waiting for FOOD!
It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it...
Dinner time at last!
Hog jaws grabbed a whole turkey leg!
Drew, sharing his fortune from his popper.
Nice work Nana,
Beautiful table and delicious food as usual!
Even Johnny was excited to be there.
The next day we did a little Black Friday shopping,
emphasis on "little".. we went to two stores and crapped out!
Before we left though, we had some fun bathroom time...
John... meet John!
Yep, we think he's pretty cool too!
After shopping we stopped for some chips and salsa and
Mmmmmmargaritas!
Friday night, dinner at Pops' house.
The big guy and the little guy spending some quality time together!
John with his Godfather Drew. :-)
You'll notice that Johnny is now wearing a completely different outfit...
Be sure to ask Uncle Mal about that one!
There's not much in this world that Maeryn enjoys more
than hanging out with her uncles!
What started as a calm, peaceful Saturday morning in North Scottsdale...
Was quickly turned upside down by a little blonde girl
with a bag full of bread crumbs!!!
INCOMING!!!
Nana had some extra bread left over from one of her Thanksgiving dishes
that she makes so she had the awesome idea to go to the park
and feed the ducks - something we used to do when we were kids.
Just a few hungry ducks turned in to DOZENS of ducks and geese...
Before we knew it, they were EVERYWHERE!
Some of these birds were nice and well behaved, Nana sure made a new friend... :-)
Some, not so much!
What was it Kevin kept calling that one? Tommy Tough-guy??
Maeryn seeked refuge on the park bench for a while.
Overall it was a blast and such a gorgeous day for it too!
Afterwards, we took advantage of the perfect weather
and surroundings and had an impromptu photo session.
Last night in Scottsdale. :-(
Kenney family dinner at Oreganos - OH YEAH!
John and his Gramps!!
Classic picture of these two!
Our airport story from Sunday morning is one that will go down in the record books...
We were VERY thankful that we made the flight and that these two bestfriends
were just perfect during the whole ordeal.
(ps, check out that belly - holy cow kid!)
How did we live before i-pads???
Bye bye Arizona family, we love you and can't wait to see you again!
