We actually decided to "decorate" our pumpkins this year... I swear we have good intentions every year but somehow we always seem to run out of time. Well, not this year!
It wasn't the traditional carving style, we went with paint this time around.
I think they turned out pretty cool, but maybe next year we'll really do it right!
We entered this first one in to a contest at Kevin's work...
Didn't win anything but I'm pretty sure his peers were impressed so that counts for something, right?
My Alex Morgan pumpkin is now FAMOUS!
I "tweeted" a picture of it to the US Women's National Team yesterday,
and they actually "retweeted" it out to their 135 THOUSAND followers and said they loved it!
Woohoo!
Maeryn helped paint these two pumpkins and then we added all of the fun accessories!
Kevin and our little pirate Johnny.
Poor Johnny Mac only got to wear his costume long enough to take a couple pictures
and then we had to bundle him up for the night - man was it COLD!
Our annual Halloween block party was a great time!
Olivia (Stawberry) and Tink
Addison (Cinderella)
Paxton (Tiger)
Piper (Strawberry Shortcake)
Trick or Treating!
We found Peter Pan and Captain Hook while we were out!
The captain must have been camera shy...
he jumped out of the way before I could get his picture.
We are still not quite sure about the "spooky" side of Halloween...
A lot of the houses along our street had ghosts and spiders and skeletons as decorations on and arounds their houses - all the typical scary stuff. Many of them lit up and made noises and some even jumped out at you. Our brave little soldiers did great with all of that - UNTIL we arrived here:
The haunted house on Country Trail Drive.
These people went all out! Maybe the kids will appreciate it in a few more years...
The morning after...
Johnny Mac still konked out and Maer looking like she is having a halloween hangover!
