Outlet Mall = Cool Playground & Suns baby, Suns!

The Outlet Mall in Anthem, AZ:
Holy Christmas Tree Batman!
Every good parent includes a little bribery in their bag of tricks, right??
Well, it works... like magic.
"Be a good girl in a few more stores and we'll go play at the park."
Tada!!! Magic I tell you.

Ahhh, successful shopping trip!
I found what I was looking for (win for me), it was on sale (win for Kev),
there was a park (win for everyone!). Yay!

Later that night, Dad and I went to the Suns season opener.
6th row, baby!

This was almost a cool picture...
(bet my new camera would have caught it all!)
He calls himself Mr. Orng... I call him creepy!
 Time to get NASHty.
 Fan Favorite: Thunder Dan Majerle!
 Your my boy Nash!
The Suns lost it at the buzzer, but Dad and I had a blast!

And the biggest hit of the day... SLINKY DOG! (who knew?)

First, my apologies for taking so long to finish my Christmas posts.
No good excuse really, just didn't get around to it until now...

Christmas Day at Nana's House:

Yep, he came!!!

Everyone had their seats and was ready for the action...

LEGGGOOOOO!
Mrs. Potato Head.
Super cool drawing easel.

Drew's new snowboarding helmet.
Maeryn's first Barbie!
Looking for the "pickle"... stupid game is rigged.
LOVE this.
Everyone playing with their new toys...

 Breakfast!!!

 Enjoying the beautiful day.

The happy girl with all her loot.
...and the unexpected star of the day, Slinky Dog!

It was a great day for the Maer-Bear,
stay tuned for more pictures from our trip to come!

'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Christmas Eve in all it's glory...

Mom cookin' it up,
with Melissa on stand by ready to snipe any extra food that came her way.
And Maeryn getting some cooking tips too.
And the rest of the gang, watching the Cardinals almost win.
Thanks for playing along Kevin, love that expression!
Next stop, Dad's house.
Remember how I said Melissa was ready to snipe? Well, mission accomplished!
I think we were in the house about 30 seconds... Man, she's quick!
This picture says it all.
Maeryn, meet Maverick.  Maverick, meet your nemesis...
Dad showing off his new leather jacket, ooh la la!
Yes ladies, he's single.  :-)
Can you actually hear her saying "cheese"?  I can.

Like I said Mav, she's the boss.  Sorry buddy.

Kenney Family Christmas Eve Outing: Muppets Movie!
Maeryn was pumped to see her good friends the chipmunks at the theatre.
AKA: THE CHIKMUNX.
This was no ordinary trip the the movies...
Let me run down just a few of the events that took place.
The guy sitting next to Drew fell asleep a minimum of two times
(once before the previews even started, and then he woke himself up
while SNORING mid-movie).  Maeryn spent half the movie up dancing
in the aisle, playing with Drew's hair, climbing up and down out of my lap,
Kevin's lap, Mal's lap and her own seat, she actually got her shoe stuck
in between the two seats in front of us at one point and Mal had to take
the shoe off in order to dislodge it.  There was a small infant in the row behind us,
which Maeryn began rocking at one point (because it was sleeping
in it's car-seat... it did not stay asleep).  And of course we had Melissa with us
(an adventure in itself), Drew said there was more popcorn in her lap
than what ended up in her mouth!
Ma Na Mi Na!

Great times!!

Maeryn went to bed eagerly anticipating a visit from Santa.
And as promised... Cookies and "ice cold milk" for the guy in red.
(and carrots for the reindeer)

There is nothing like the excitement that Christmas brings...
another reason this blog exists in the first place,
I NEVER want to forget these moments!

Christmas 2011, Ready, Set, GO!

Ok, how in the world do I fit it all in one post???
Answer: I don't.

Let's break this down...

Little Blondie Maer-Bear now thinks "Christmas"
is like an ongoing two-week extravaganza.
Oh wait, it is...
Sister scored BIG-TIME being the first grandchild and niece born in to this family
where she gets to have multiple holiday celebrations with days and days and days
of family time, awesome food and presents galore!

It all started in mid-Dec with the previously documented,
"Mother of all Dollhouses"...

Here's another clip of her and the BEAST in action:

Then we had our own little Meyer Family Christmas
on the night before we left for AZ, 12/22 to be exact.
We were trying to make life a little easier on ourselves as we would have
had to pack/ship everything to Nana's house... but we're thinking this will probably
be the last time we do this, definitely killed some of the Christmas morning magic.

Of course, our girl was pumped none the less!
...and man did she get good at unwrapping since last year.

Two of Maeryn's very favorite things: princesses and popcorn...
some genious put them together and Kevin scored big-time with this last minute gift.
The next awesome thing was "Merry Madagascar"!
(we now own the madagascar trilogy...
Melman the Giraffe is a close personal friend in our house)
Maeryn's most over-used quote of the Holidays: "Open It!"
Seriously... Every. Single. Time.
Check it out...

There is no shortage of girly stuff to play with at the Meyer house these days,
princess castle play tent.
And some more magnetic dress up dolls.
It's good to be the Bear!

Still to come:
AZ Christmas
Snowbowl
More STL Christmas

I warned you... extravanganza doesn't even cover it.
